We are very impressed with the projects that USC students have built during our Glazing Boot Camps. With the guidance of our glazing Apprenticeship coordinator, instructors and apprentices, USC students were able to construct glass “storefront” boxes made from real storefront elements to put on display in the Carapace Pavilion exhibit at the USC School of Architecture (see below). In our USC Glazing Boot Camp, student learned “hands-on” the entire process of how a storefront façade is made, including cutting the glass. The results are remarkable! We look forward to observing other projects that students will accomplish during our Glazing Boot Camps!
SCGMA’s Architectural Glass Boot Camps were designed to expose rising architects and specifiers in the LA/OC region to the craft of a glazier through interactive instruction and hands-on application.
