SCGMA YPG Event Recap – Arcadia Inc. Tour

On Friday, June 3rd, the SCGMA Young Professionals Group held their second quarterly event of 2022 – a tour of Arcadia Inc. A record attendance of 38 YPG members joined to learn more about architectural glazing building products – how they’re made, what they’re made of, the various options available, and so much more.

Following a similar model to the YPG’s last event, the participants toured the facilities and concluded with an educational presentation by James Fitzsimmons (an industry favorite).

Both the Fabrication and the Finishing Line Facilities provided some insight as to how Arcadia has remained successful all these years. The careful fabrication of their products, the quality controls, the history and innovation… it’s no wonder that they’ve grown into an industry leader. Another highlight distinguishing Arcadia from its competitors is that they are the only major aluminum fenestration manufacturer with an in-house paint and anodizing line, and our participants saw firsthand how this leads to consistent finishing quality and quicker lead times.

SCGMA YPG is dedicated to educating its future leaders. This investment in the next generation of glazing leaders is critical to our industry and we are so grateful to James Fitzsimmons, Ken Yarnall, Hilda Torres, and the rest of the Arcadia team, for their hospitality during this valuable event.
